- The Diem diaspora. Engineers who tried to build crypto inside Facebook and now build it outside. They carried their technology — particularly the Move language — out the door.
- Equal weighting across 4 ex-Meta tokens. The Move language ecosystem dominates because the Diem team's technical contributions outlived the corporate project.
- Corporate crypto projects fail. But the engineers who built them carry institutional knowledge about scale, compliance, and user experience that independent founders lack.
