Acceptance
By using General Market (including both Index and Vision products), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform. These terms apply to all products operated by IM Standards LLC.
What General Market Is
General Market is a decentralized protocol operated by IM Standards LLC on the Index L3 chain (Orbit). It consists of two products:
- Index — Create, trade, and manage tokenized index tracking products (ITPs). ITPs are on-chain baskets of crypto assets with NAV pricing, similar to ETFs but entirely on-chain. Prices are submitted by decentralized, Goldilocks-selected BLS-verified oracles — not by IM Standards LLC.
- Vision — Peer-to-peer prediction markets across 60+ data sources. Users trade event contracts against each other via smart contracts. IM Standards LLC does not act as counterparty, bookmaker, or market maker.
Risk Warning
You can lose money on both Index and Vision.
Index: ITP values fluctuate with underlying crypto asset prices. Vision: prediction market outcomes are uncertain by nature. You could lose some or all of your capital on either product. Only use funds you can afford to lose.
Experimental Software
General Market is experimental software. Smart contracts are immutable once deployed — bugs cannot be patched. Use at your own risk. IM Standards LLC makes no guarantees about security, uptime, or functionality for either product.
Non-Custodial Protocol
IM Standards LLC does not custody, hold, or control user funds at any time. Your assets remain in smart contracts on the Index L3 chain that you interact with directly through your wallet. IM Standards LLC cannot freeze, reverse, or modify your transactions.
Your Responsibilities
- You control your private keys — IM Standards LLC cannot recover them if lost
- You're solely responsible for your trading and investment decisions on both Index and Vision
- You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- You're responsible for all tax obligations on any profits from either product
- You must conduct your own research before creating or trading ITPs or entering Vision markets
No Financial Advice
Nothing on General Market is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. IM Standards LLC does not recommend specific trades, index compositions, prediction market positions, or strategies.
Prohibited Use
- Market manipulation or wash trading on either product
- Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities in smart contracts or the platform
- Interfering with other users or the protocol's operation
- Using the platform for illegal activity in your jurisdiction
Limitation of Liability
General Market (both Index and Vision) is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IM Standards LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of either product. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the lesser of (a) amounts you deposited in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IM Standards LLC and its officers, directors, members, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of General Market or violation of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which IM Standards LLC is organized. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
Changes
IM Standards LLC may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
